LINE translation bot: Thai ⇄ English in every chat
Add one friend on LINE and every message is translated — in private chats and in groups. Here's how it works, step by step, and why most LINE translators get Thai wrong.
Set it up in one minute
- Add Smartlation as a friend on LINE: lin.ee/y2sAgrx (or search for Smartlation in LINE).
- Send any message. Thai comes back in English, everything else in Thai.
- For a group: open the group → ☰ menu → Invite → add Smartlation. From then on it translates every message for everyone.
- Want everything in one language? Send
/main english(or any language)./main offgoes back to Thai ⇄ English.
Free and unlimited: no daily cap on normal text translation, in private chats and groups.
Why most LINE translators get Thai wrong
Most translation bots swap words one by one. Thai doesn't work like that: the same word changes meaning with who's talking, the particles (ครับ, ค่ะ, อะ, นะ) carry the mood, and a lot of everyday chat is slang. A real example from our own team chat (names changed):
A word bot invented a sentence about Twitter. Smartlation kept the meaning — and the name.
เท literally means “pour”, but in chat it means bailing on someone.
What else it does in LINE
- Ask with ? (Pro, Business) — start a message with ? to ask your AI friend anything: “? what does she mean”, “? how do I say this politely”.
- 💬 Reply ideas (Pro, Business) — ready replies under the translations you receive, in the tone you pick.
- Voice messages — written out and translated (from the Basic plan).
- Your own words — teach it names and words it should always translate your way (/word).
- Private group assistant (Business) — reads along in your groups and warns only you when someone changes a price, a date or a deal.
Is it really free?
Yes. Text translation is free and unlimited on every plan. Basic (79 ฿ a month, first month 49 ฿) adds the 7 Thai styles and voice messages; Pro adds ? answers and reply ideas; Business adds the private group assistant. See plans.
